Adult women using pads?

Question

Initially, I used pads exclusively because I was sexually assaulted at a young age and tampons triggered PTSD flashbacks/panic attacks. But years later, I've tried tampons and I'm fine emotionally, I just hate the feel of them? 
Any other adult women out there who choose pads over tampons?

I'm almost 30 and I HATE tampons. Just the thought of something in there for a few hours disturbs me. I've tried tampons before but they just don't do it for me.

I really can't wear tampons right now, because I had a stroke back in July of '12. So, I'm currently confined to a wheelchair.
