Pregnant? Post m/c and d&c

So I’m so confused to what’s going on and if I’m pregnant or not. We got pregnant and lost the baby in m/c at 7 w 6 d. Baby stopped growing at 5 w 5 d. Ended up not being able to miscarry myself so had a d&c; on nov 21. Surgery went well and doctor is able to clean everything out. Went back my two week postop and Dr. said everything looked good and we can start trying again. We started trying the beginning of the December. I had some cramping on right side, headaches, breast sore, back aches. Still no period. My cycle is 28 Days last 3 days of bleeding then done. About 4-5 days ago around my period was expected I had very small amounts of brown discharge two days in a row then stopped. Took test Monday night & this morning both negative.

Could I be pregnant and it’s not detected yet? I was told it’s 4-6 wks after d&c; to get period. It’s been 6 weeks exactly. We have been trying a lot . Not sure rule is with d&c.; Haven’t had period since September 10th.

My son is 13 and I never went through any of this.
