The day you ovulate, should you try to convince or wait till a day or two after?

Just ended my period and had sexual intercourse last night and felt a harsh pinch and instant relief which is what I've come to believe is feeling my body ovulating. If this is true, I need to know when is the best time to try again when I've been having sex all week on my period and even last night but just now felt what I believe is ovulation.

Always have sex the day you ovulate, but to be honest that doesn't sound like ovulation to me. And if your cm is not indicative of ovulation (I.e. Being egg white or watery) then your definitely not ovulating. 
But to answer your question, yes have sex the day you ovulate.
