Who has their daith pierced

Question

Did it hurt? How long did it take to heal? Could you lay on the side you got done? How’d you clean it? Help! Lol I’m thinking of getting it.

I have had mine pierced for almost 5 years now and I was recently asked all of these by a coworker who also wants it done. My initial piercing didn’t hurt it just felt like pressure. The first week it hurt and so I would just put an ice pack on it for a little while when it got bad. After about 2-3 weeks I could sleep on my side but I did still use a travel pillow just for extra protection. I cleaned mine with both sterile saline and provon (you can by it on amazon it is antibacterial soap). And it took 6 months to no longer give me any issues. 5 years later I usually just clean it with water only(started that around 1.5years or so) and will occasionally clean it with soap if I get something in my ear. But overall it was a easy cartilage piercing to get an heal. 100x easier than a helix or conch piercing.

Pain is different for everyone. I for one have a pretty high pain tolerance and I didn't really feel any pain just some pressure. My faith was a butt and took some time to heal, probably about 6 or more months. I've had it for a year and 13 days, and I absolutely love it.

I got mine on the 21st of December so it’s been a couple of weeks, the piercing itself wasn’t painful just a bit uncomfortable as the piercer used a numbing spray, but tbh with you my healing has been sooo painful. I find it very hard to clean properly and it aches/throbs pretty much all the time

I have mine done and honestly it was the best decision I made. It didn’t really hurt but because it’s going through a pressure point there was a ton of pressure. I could sleep on my side right away. I’ve had it for over two years now and it healed pretty quickly for me but you have to clean it religiously because of the location it’s in.
