Its called milk bath because you can use milk or creamer in the water to make it white. It just a cute way to take a maternity pic and you don't see your whole naked body because of the white water.

My baths include 50 rubber ducks, a splashing 1year old, stacking cups, the tap in my back, a large plastic hippo, the dog whimpering because he can't jump in, my husband having a poo, the cat watching from the windowsill and a 80% chance either myself or my Son have accidentally peed.

Yeah it is one of those pointless things in my opinion. To each their own I guess.

Historically they were kind of used in Royalty and more of a medicinal/health purpose with essential oils and scents and now I think mainly people enjoy the way the photographs look. I do agree they are beautiful. Especially worth flowers and candles lit. Pregnancy can be so hard on us, we all deserve to relax and feel beautiful.
