Is abortion painful?

Please no harsh comments. Does a surgical abortion hurt? If you had one, what did it feel like?

You won't get harsh comments here honey and if you do, I'll be reporting😉 I was 12 and had a medical abortion so I was heavily sedated. I do remember cramps up to a week later and did cry.

I felt some cramping and discomfort, but but not outright pain. I opted for the sedative and local anesthetic, and the injection of the local was the most uncomfortable part. Expect to be sore and a litle crampy afterward. The clinic will usually provide you with pads (tampons aren't a super idea following an abortion,) and if you don't have a heating pad already, invest in one. It will be a great thing to have for after care!

Yahh, it hurts. There was just a lot of pressure in my lower stomach. Kinda like cramps? Idk but yah it hurt. Not enough to cry. And then after later on in the day/week it hurts. Enough to cry.

It didn't hurt during...but I was also very medicated because I had a panic attack. Definetly the hardest decision I had to make. After though, it hurt a lot..physically and emotionally.

It doesn't hurt! You may cramp later but during no..I am rh- so I had to have a shot and the doctor did it in side of my vagina and that was painful but everything else was fine

I didn't have surgical but I did have the pill and it was slightly more crampy than a regular period but the other ladies in the clinic I was in I chatted with them and they actually said it's less painful to have a surgical abortion over pill since it only lasts 5 to 10 minutes ! You will be fine I'm sure the doctor will give you some happy pills and you will not give a hoot for those 5 quick minutes !

My experience wasnt too painful. I had a surgical abortion at 7 weeks. It felt like mostly pressure around my uterus. But not too much pain. After 2 days the cramping started and thats what was more painful than the procedure. But if you have bad cramps to begin with, it is probably something similar to that.
