Implantation or early period?!

Question

So my period is due in a week. Me and S/O has sex last Wednesday and Friday. Yesterday morning woke up spotting dark brown blood. Lasted bout an 3 hours then nothing. Is it too early to tell if its an early period or implantation bleeding?

It's too early for implantation bleeding in my opinion. It could just be mid cycle spotting. Typically, IB occurs 6-10 days after ovulation, but it's pretty rare to have it (which is a common misconception. Everyone on here thinks they have it, when in reality less than 20% of women actually do). Here is some more information. Best of luck!
