Why not search for a used one. We just got a really nice Buick allure with no problems for $3,600

It depends on your credit as well as the purchase price of the car. But like others have said, slightly used really is a better deal. I just bought a low mileage, 2 year old SUV and saved thousands of dollars compared to new.

Have the person run calculations for you and see what difference it will make in your monthly payment, you might find it will only end up saving you 10 or 15$ a month and it might be smarter to get the car with no down payment and use the 5k to make double payments or even keep as savings
