My bf said the same thing to me and we are struggling. I suggested  he pick up a second job if I am to quit my job. Doesn't want to do that so I work. I want to work until I can't any longer but he is not the best at managing money so I don't feel secure enough to let him be the only income

My husband was the same way when we were struggling last year but reason was he doesn't want his kids in daycare until they can talk for obvious reasons with all the crazy stuff that happens in daycares these days and my youngest was 8 months at the time. And I'm a full time student all online courses so wants me to focus on school even now.  I dont argue with it anymore,  if he wants to handle it financially to feel like more of a man ill let him.
