We aren’t finding out but we’re due in June so I don’t have a real life explanation yet but! I’m already really glad we’re waiting. My husband will catch baby and will be the first person in the world to know what we’re having. That’s an experience worth waiting for.

It was special letting my SO being the first to see and then tell me after I pushed him out. All along I was convinced it was a girl but then 2 weeks before he was born, I just knew it was a boy. Then, when he was finally on my chest, it was as if I had known him the whole time. Kinda surreal still to think about

I have done it both ways and I honestly found it way better to know. It was easier to prepare and not have to have yellow and green. You are also so exhausted after giving birth that you really don't even care about the gender just that you have a healthy baby and it is out of your body lol. I didn't find any less joy during birth knowing before hand or any more excitement than not knowing

My husband would not budge with either of our children (number two is still cooking) and insisted we find out the sex, but my sister left it a surprise with her baby. I was in the room with her when she gave birth, and the energy in the room was completely electric as we waited for her son to be born. It was so exciting and such a special moment. I wanted our second to be a surprise but my husband literally can’t handle surprises haha.

As far as I’ve heard, there is nothing comparable to the excitement of finding out right when you give birth...I wouldn’t know yet. 
We found out with the other two, and I loved being prepared, with the first, we paid for a 3D ultrasound to find out, the second, I was able to have my mom take the phone call and fill a pull string pinata I made with pink or blue tissue, hubs and I went out and pulled the string to find out the gender, that was fun! 
But this time with our third (due in less than 3 weeks!) we are not finding out until birth!!! I’m actually super excited for this, and to be able to say I’ve done both, and I do believe I will be one of those ones to say there is nothing comparable. 
After months of creating a human being, and the extremely hard work of labour, to have such a reward at the end is going to be amazing, I know.
