Nervous giving birth?!?

Was anyone nervous giving birth?... Like how was your experience?!... I dont have any kids and would like to hear your storiess pleaseee

I had my first last May. I remember feeling like I was in line for a roller coaster! I didn't know what it would be like, and that was scary! But I reminded myself that millions of women do this all the time, and more than once, and my body was made to do this. My doula told me it was all a mental game. If I could remember that the pain had a purpose and it WOULD end, it would help me keep going. She was right! The best way to fight that fear is to arm yourself with knowledge. Learn all about the stages of labor and what will happen to your body. That really helped me. And I don't know what your birth plan is, but if you're trying for a natural birth, walk a TON and learn pain coping techniques. It hurt a lot and was very hard, but it all went away immediately when I held my daughter. No exaggeration! I was fortunate and my active labor was short. Altogether 13 hours, but only about 4 hours of active labor and less than 5 minutes of pushing. Everyone has a different experience, bit if you arm yourself with knowledge and a positive attitude, you'll have a great experience!

I was scared with all 3 and now baby 4 but when you go in to labor I would say it goes away because you be excited that you are getting ready to meet your baby

I'm due with my first in October. I'm trying my best not to think about the delivery because it scares the crap out of me. I've always really wanted kids but never wanted to go through labor. My back always hurts as it is and I'm terrified of extra pain.

I was terrified with our first daughter...still terrified with our second...not as much with our third...and now if we conceive again I am back to terrified since my third delivery was a bit different.

It will be okay. Fear is normal.
