Finger tattoo problems???

Question

I just got a tattoo of a cross on my right ring finger for my uncle who just passed away. I love the tattoo and love that it is a constant reminder of my uncle but my mom is totally against visible tattoos and says that this tattoo could lead to me losing out on future job opportunities. Have any of you who have visible tattoos ever lost out on a job because of your tattoos?

Yes, sometimes they won’t hire you if you have visible tattoos. It’s unprofessional looking to them. So before going to an interview cover with band aid or concealer.

my midwife had tattoos all over her arms and one on her neck.

My hand is tattooed and I've never lost out on a job opportunity because of it(even in the medical field). As long as it isn't vulgar or offensive it generally isn't a problem anymore.

i have both wrists tattooed and it has never stopped me from getting a job and i’m a HCA.

I would just cover it with a bandaid for interviews then when you get hired see if they say anything to you about it being visible.

I have a cross with my grandfather's initials on the top of my hand below my pinky, it's one of several visible tattoos and has never kept from getting a job. A lot of people are intrigued by it. 
The biggest problem finger tattoos is that they fade super fast

I've never had an issue. Two of mine are on each wrist, so visible unless wearing long sleeves but even then sleeves slide.
It's really at the discretion of the employer but these days employers seem to be taking the worker more seriously as a person compared to focusing on the ink.

I like it but you could have also got what’s called a Ink box.It looks like a really tattoo but it does last up to 18 days.
