flu shot

okay so I posted earlier about if I should get the flu shot since I'm pregnant and I decided to get it once I'm off bed rest but I tried to talk to my best friend she's 8 months pregnant due next month I tried to talk to her about getting the flu shot because she said she's never gotten it she says it doesn't matter it's not like it's going to hurt the baby if I don't get it. then she said that that's the first shot that they get right after she delivers the baby. now I'm kind of new to all this so I I wanted to know if it is that true?
