Rash any advice?

Anyone know what kind of rash this is? It seems to bother him when we put lotion on it.

eczema.  is it itchy?  cortisone cream.  did u try benadryl to see If it was an allergy?

It’s hard to tell from this one pic, but is there a sort of “christmas tree” distribution? Was there one scabby spot that showed up before the rest of the rash? Looks like what my toddler had at 1.5 years old - turns out it was Pityriasis rosea. That’s viral, sticks around for about 3 weeks and goes away on its own. The pediatric specialist had to put some work in to determining whether it was Pityriasis or eczema. Maybe google Pityriasis and see if it sounds like what your LO has
