Baby choking every time he nurses?

Almost every time my son nurses, he chokes. I think I have a strong let down but how do I prevent him from choking?

My daughter had the same issue, but we were able to resolve the issue by side-nursing or by leaning backwards on a reclined surface while cradling her in my arms.

My daughter choked a lot too, I was over producing. 
Keep in mind before you try to pump or hand express milk, this will tell your body that baby wants more milk, so you will produce more milk. 
Try different positions and see what helps, I had to lay on my side in bed to feed her, it helped a lot!

laid back nursing. lean in a recliner or similar with him laid on you, that way he can control the flow a bit better ;) I have a crazy letdown and always half drown my babies if I don't mean back hahah

I have to lean back if he’s eating from my left because it lets down fast and furious! He’ll choke and the spit a ton up immediately! 
Try leaning back and having your lo lay across your belly so they’re more on top of the nipple.

My letdown is also super strong. My LO chokes at every feed and sicks up loads after. There doesn’t seem to be a position that stops it happening for us ☹️

invest in a nipple shield it should help slow down your fast let down

Maybe try pumping before breastfeeding?

Try to hand express or pump a little before he nurses so your let down isn’t as strong :)
