Is your baby still using the pacifier?

Hello! Just thinking about the bedtime meltdown that my son just had and wondering if I rely on the pacifier too much... I feel like he's still just a baby, but I did notice his little teeth are pushed forward by it.

Does your baby still use one? If not, did you take it away or did they lose interest?

Yes. She usually just uses it when she sleeps. If she’s sick, though, she uses it far more frequently. I’m not terribly worried as of now, and will slowly let her stop on her own. If she’s still still using it at two, I’ll probably have to take it away.

Yes he can get threw the day without it but I dont know how we could possibly go without it at night 😑😪😪 my husband wants to take it away ASAP I agree but for some reason it makes me so sad to take it away 💔 maybe it's the pregnancy hormones idk.

Yes he won't sleep without one. My older two both had theirs till they were 3 and 4 . I don't plan to take it away from him. it's only while he is tired anyways

Mine used to only use it at nap and bedtime, then when he started daycare I gave him one that clips to him, and said if it calms him he can have it whenever. The problem is daddy started getting him earlier from daycare and would plop it in his mouth the whole time until I got home and now he won’t let it go, it’s in there all day. His teacher said she tries to take it out even as a joke and he freaks. But I’m not dealing with it until he’s two at least. He eats good, sleeps good, and doesn’t take anymore bottles, so the pacifiers our thing.

My LO is 13 Months and uses a pacifier when she’s tired and sleeping. Also when she’s teething. She bites sometime when teething and I don’t want her biting other kids at daycare. She only started the biting once she started getting her molars. To me pacifiers are a life saver. I don’t plan to take hers away till she’s older. Eventually she will use it less and self soothe.  as long as I limit the pacifier use to just tired/sleeping my Dr said it would be fine and so did my dentist. Once my LO falls asleep she spits it out and doesn’t even notice. All babies are different and do what you think is best for yours.

He tried to use me as a pacifier, he would never take an actual one. I wish he had, we tried from day one.

She uses it only for naps and bedtime. But she’s very sneaky so I’ll find her with it through out the day and I keep taking it away. I’ll see where she stands by summer and I’ll take it away permanently.

Which will be hard because I’m due any day so she’ll see her brother with it and try to remove it from him.

My son outgrew his around 3 months. Loved it until then but then he just took to sucking his thumb unfortunately.

Once my daughter turned 2 months old, she refused the pacifier. I have no idea why because she used to have it in her mouth all day. There were times that I wish she still used it to calm her down when she had meltdowns.
