Severe low back pain 39 weeks?

Question

At 38 weeks I was not dilated. I’ve been having low back  and butt pain here and there for 2-3 weeks which doc says is coz baby is head in my pelvis and dropping. Today the pain won’t go away but there is no pattern like I can’t time it like contractions. Could it be Labor?

It’s more than likely sciatica pain and it doesn’t go away trust me I’ve had it for the last 2 months and I’m dying. 
Since the baby is sitting so low they are pinching a nerve that basically is hell to deal with.
You can try temporary heating pads or icy hot but there isn’t much that can be done

Go up & down stairs even though it’s going to hurt like hell. I had that same pain for weeks so I went jogging up & down stairs and that started contractions for me. Delivered that night
