Pumping schedule?

My son has decided to not nurse anymore other than the morning, so I have decided after a month of trying to get him back to the breast to stop putting so much stress on myself and him. So I have decided to just pump but the problem is how many times a day? My son is 5 1/2 month old and drinks 6 ounces a feed also I don’t get 6 ounces every time I pump from a missed feed. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Well I have been pumping from day 1 and to get started you are supposed to pump 8-10 times a day.  So everytime my baby ate I pumped.  Baby is now 8 weeks and I just went down to 7 pumps per day.  Because your baby is older I’m not real sure how to answer you.  There is an awesome FB group called exclusively pumping mommas, go check it out, they are great.  And good luck!

This is what I followed early on until I got a good latch with my son. If you aren't getting enough I would start with more pumps than what the 5-6 month schedule is (like start with every 3 hours and drop pumps when you are getting more than you need). You could also throw in a couple power pumping sessions to boost your supply.

How do u know he drinks 6 ounces? 
I only ask because everything (literally everything) I've read aids breastmilk babies typically only drink 4 ounces because it is utilized so well no matter the age once they are past three months. 
I only pump for my baby and I offer her 4.5 each time she wants to eat.  She almost always only drinks 4 ounces. She is only 12 weeks though. 
Formula babies always drink more from what I have read.
