When is it safe to start the 2nd round of clomid ?

Hey ladies ,
Just curious when is it safe to start the 2 me round of clomid ? Af due on 1/14/18 if the test is negative one day after af is due how long should I wait to start provera ( induces my period ) then I will take clomid 3-7 . Just want to make sure not to take them to soon I took my 1st dose 12/16/17

my dr told me to start provera every 28 days like clockwork. no tests or waiting. she said if i were pregnant its not harmful. the ofcourse start clomid on cd3.
