WHAT A WHIRLWIND!

So for a while now I have been watching and waiting the available jobs in childcare. Particularly for Lead Educator positions as I have been wanting to take that one step up for a while. Nothing much had come up until November 2017. My current work company is opening a new centre and the cut off for applications was early December. I had ummed and ahhed for a while but as I was still dealing with having had a miscarriage (still quite sore etc) I decided it wasn't time. Then on Monday just gone I saw that the deadline had been extended and I decided that I still really wanted the position so I sucked it up and applied on Tuesday night. Yesterday I left work early due to a migraine and had to take today off too so that I could deal with it. Then at 10:45am I had a phone call from an unknown number.. It was the Centre Manager of the new centre asking to do a ohone interview. I obviously accepted. Then she asked if I would like to have a face to face on Monday. I am rostered to work which I told her, so she asked me to come in TODAY at 2:30. Roll on 2pm and Im in the carpark nervous as.. I go in and the general jist of the story is that after being asked only half of the questions I was offered a job ON THE SPOT and offwred my choice of room in the centre. The best part is because I am already hired by the managing company they want me to start ASAP so I could be transferred as early as NEXT FRIDAY. I am so excited but it is also bittersweet as I have been at my current centre for 6 years and pretty much grown up there.. I will miss all of my coworkers and the children/families but I am so excited for a new beginning.. :) I am so so so glad I found my lady balls and applied!
