Just started Metformin...

I was just diagnosed with PCOS and haven’t had my period in 6 months. I started taking metformin yesterday (500 mg twice a day) and I’m taking medroxyprogesterone. I was warned by my pharmacist that it may cause an upset stomach and diarrhea but I wasn’t too worried since medicine normally doesn’t affect me too much. Boy, was I wrong! About 30-45 minutes after taking my first dose last night, my stomach suddenly started to turn and I was stuck in the bathroom for almost an hour and kept having to make trips throughout the night. I woke up this morning with a little stomach ache and had to run to the bathroom again. I’m starting to feel a little better but I just took it again. Thankfully I don’t have to do anything today (no school for my kiddo) and I can work from home. Crossing my fingers that I’ll be better before Monday! Definitely don’t want to be sitting in school traffic and have these stomachaches or need a bathroom🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 How long did it last? And if you used any of these to jumpstart your period, how long did it take?
