Maternity leave?

Do you guys recurve maternity leave? If so how long? And was it paid leave?

If you’re in the US, legally you are allowed to take up to 12 weeks of maternity leave and still have your same job when you return to work, per the Family Medical Leave Act. The average amount of time taken is 6 weeks, unless you have a c-section, then it’s 8. Your employer determines whether or not you’re leave will be paid. Mine were both unpaid unless I wanted to use vacation/sick leave in order to get paid for part of it.

I'm in Canada and I got 1 year paid 55% of my wage.

I did not qualify for FMLA (been at my job for less than a year.) I am planning on taking 6w, 8w if I have a c-section. Both will require a clearance from doctor to return. Mine is "paid" but they are refiguring my salary based on the # of days I miss - meaning I will still receive a paycheck during my leave and upon returning but it will be less than what it is now.
