Question

I think I've got mastitis 😑 woke up from a nap with baby and I was feeling very achy, warm, and my left breast was killing me. It's almost 12 am so I took some Tylenol, I'm pumping on that side (exclusively pumping), and I'm going to get some more sleep. If I'm still feeling icky in the morning, I'll go to the urgent care down the street. The Tylenol is helping, I don't feel like I'm burning anymore. Gosh darn it, I hate being sick.

Normally if you have a clogged duct you can massage it out easier than just pumping it out. With all 3 of my kids I was notorious for wearing bras that didn’t fit right and they would clog a duct. Luckily! My mom is a lactation consultant and she said if you massage your breast you will start to feel which duct is clogged, so you won’t just have to continually pump till the area frees itself. I really hate doing it myself because I’m a wuss and hate the pain because normally I’ll feel pain and ignore it till I get to the fever stage and by that time it really needs to be taken care of, but i get hubby to massage it, first time he ever did it was so awkward for him 😂😂😂 but now he knows it has to happen or i will become a huge baby 😂 (and yes my mom gets so irritated with how I am because she says I know what’s going to happen each time but that i love the hard road) 😂😂🤦‍♀️
