I’m 12.5 weeks, heard the heartbeat on Tuesday. Last night after driving 4.5 hours, when I stood up getting out of the car I had a rush of bright red blood... and then a large clot passed about 5 minutes later. I called my doctors office and talked to the on call doctor. She was concerned but thought I should wait to see if the bleeding slowed or stopped within the next hour, given we’re in a rural area and the only hospital is an hour away with only one practicing OBGYN. It did slow, some lighter bleeding over night and then spotting this morning, and no bleeding this afternoon. No cramping or pain. So now that things seem better, I’m debating just seeing my regular doctor on Monday to be checked. I’m worried the small hospital will be a process and won’t have a good way to reassure me. The doctor on call did say this can happen and not be a miscarriage and if I was going to miscarry, there would be nothing anyone could do to slow or stop it. Planning to call my doctor again this afternoon and get their opinion on making the trek to the small hospital (doesn’t help that it’s snowing and the roads are terrible). But anyone been through this and have thoughts?
