Karaage chicken yes or no?

I’m really craving karaage chicken, which is made at a really good sushi place that I use to go to before I was pregnant. It doesn’t have rice, so I think it would be safe to have. I’d also get it served fresh, so it will be hot. What do you ladies think?

Neither rice nor chicken is unsafe.

The problem with the rice isn't listeria but bacillus cereus if the rice isn't cooled quickly and stored in the fridge. This bacteria and its toxins aren't destroyed by the cooking process. The bacteria will multiply once they are in warm, moist conditions (i.e. the cooked rice). Which is harmful to mum and baby. 
I was so surprised to hear this when researching ‘eating sushi when pregnant’ I just thought it was the raw fish that was a no no.
