HOW OLD IS MY SON?

Okay, he was born on October 2nd, 2017.
I’ve been considering him a month older every four weeks. But other people say he’s a month older on the second of every month. I counted, & by my logic, he would be 52 weeks on October 1st, 2018. Which is a year, right? But if you divide 52 by 4, you get 13, & there’s not 13 months. I AM SO CONFUSED.
Also, if we’re “technically pregnant for 10 months”, that goes by the whole 4 weeks equals a month theory, because 40 divided by 10 is 4. But that doesn’t make sense either. If you’re pregnant for exactly 40 weeks, & you get pregnant on February 1st (for example), you will be exactly 40 weeks pregnant on November 8th. But February to November is not 10 months. That’s only 9 months, because you don’t complete the month of November.
I’m sorry if I sound stupid, but no one can seem to give me a straight answer.
***EDIT*** According to Glow, he is 14 weeks & 5 days old today. So he’s 3 months & what?

On the 2nd... you wouldn’t celebrate his 1st birthday on any other day except October 2nd... so that’s when he will be 1 year so...his monthly birthdays would be the 2nd of every month

I think it gets confusing because 1 week = 7 days, but 1 month can be 28, 30, or 31 days. It lines up at a year...1 year = 52 weeks = 12 months

When will you celebrate his bday? On the day he was born, correct? Not by whatever week he lands on and happens to be 52 weeks 0 days. Go by the date.

I was confused too, glow says one thing but it doesn't add up because of the left over days if the month is 31 days..

You go by the second of every month. So he's 3 months and 11 days old. It wouldn't make sense to count every 4 weeks because there is always more than 4 weeks in a month except for in February when there's exactly 4 weeks

My girl was also born on 10/2/17. Weeks are by Monday’s but months are by the 2nd every month.

I had this same problem... I gave birth to my baby girl MONDAY October 16th so I assumed every Monday was another week (which it is) so at 4 weeksnshe is a month old? No.. because it wasn’t the 16th it was theb13th that Monday... so she technically wasn’t a month until 4 weeks and 3 days? 😩 I take my monthly pictures on the 16th every month right after my monthly pediatrician appointment.. butnuss it confuses me so much....

Just like on his 1st birthday it’ll be the 2nd of October not 52 weeks after birth.
