Anyone else done with working?

Question

I’m due March 30th and am already feeling like I’m ready to throw in the towel at work. My husband keeps telling me to stop working whenever but I feel guilty and want to contribute as much as I can before we go down to one income. What is everyone else doing?

I have to work until my baby comes.  I teach at the college level and getting someone to sub for me is not an option - the classes have to be taught by a PhD and are a graduation requirement for our students, and we only have a handful of PhDs all of whom are teaching their own required classes at the same time.  I'm just going to do the opposite of natural induction for the entire last month.  No sex, no spicy foods, and no bouncing on a yoga ball.  I get a little nervous whenever my obgyn congratulates me on how baby girl is growing precisely on time.  She is due the day after the last class 😁

I just quit too. I’m 30 weeks tomorrow but expecting to have my twins by 2/27 due to single placenta and complications and I was trying to work for as long as possible to keep contributing. But my husband kept telling me that he can tell I’m exhausted and I should stop now because I need to rest. I resisted for weeks, I think because I felt like I just should work until the end. But then I realized I’m functioning on no sleep and I don’t feel great since I’m so tired and uncomfortable and I finally just quit. Mind you I’m not going back to work though, so I don’t have to worry about using maternity leave. But I’m glad I stopped. Because I’ve been able to nap for a bit in the afternoon now that I don’t work and I feel significantly better. Not to mention the relief of work stress helps too!

I’m so done with work. I’m mentally checked out and I dread my 60+ minute comment by train every day. I managed to convince by boss to let me work from home twice a week and I sleep in when I don’t have meetings (shhh!). But I’m very close to taking my leave at 36 weeks instead of 38 so I can just relax. 🤷🏼‍♀️ so over it.

I was put on bed rest at 23 weeks due to preterm labor😣 i really wished i could work though.

I'm 30 weeks, and running after kids all day as a pediatric nurse is starting to take its toll. Thank god some of the girls I work with really help out. I'm going to try my hardest to make it until my due date (march 23rd) but I have a feeling I might start have to start my leave a week or two earlier. I'm getting Braxton hicks, and so exhausted.

With my 2 year old son I worked until the day before I had him. He was born at 38 weeks. I'm a kindergarten teacher and I went to work Thursday and gave birth Friday. This time I plan to do the same if possible.

I had to stop working at 32 weeks because I kept getting crazy contractions from being on my feet all day and constantly walking (full time retail) Dr was concerned about me putting myself into preterm labor. Now I have to take it easy and drink tons of water. I'm going stir crazy already BUT better safe than sorry.

Anyone else done with working?
