Teething at 2 months??

He’ll be 2 months on the 19th could my baby be teething already?????? 😳😬 he drools a lot and has excessive saliva at times. Then he tries to nibble on his hands even when he has mittens on. And I have to take his hands away and put his pacifier in. FTM here so I really don’t know. And what can I do or give him for it.

It's possible for a baby to teethe that early, but if drooling and nibbling on hands are the only signs, he might not be. Try looking in his mouth to see if his gums are swollen.

I’ve read chewing on their hands is developmental at two months (my little one will be two months on the 16th). Babies are learning to control their arm motions at this point and often find their mouths and other items with their hands. My pediatrician said to try to avoid using mittens on her because her hands help her self-soothe and help her understand depth perception when reaching for things.

It’s possible. My daughter started teething around 2 months and popped her first 2 bottom teeth at 3.5 months.  Now she’s almost 14 months and has 16 teeth.  So your baby could be teething or they could just be doing baby stuff. Lol If their gums are swollen or you see white spots then it could be teething.

It is possible but babies also just generally start drooling and chewing on things between 2 and 3 months. My son started doing that around 3 months and didn’t have his first tooth until 8 months.
