When I stop breastfeeding on demand around the clock and/or baby starts eating more food (nursing less) I cycle. Our first was in a swing for naps and nursed less often because of it, and I cycled again after only a couple of months. I wore/held/snuggled our 2nd near constantly so he nursed on demand with no distractions to keep him from asking for it, and he didn't start solids until 11 months; I got pregnant at 13 months with no period prior. I did the same with our 3rd except she started solids sooner, just not regularly until almost a year; I got pregnant without a period at 15 months.

I got mine back the week after I stopped my PP bleeding. My daughter was 7 weeks. She’s 9 months now, and did do solids until 6 months. I was just a lucky one who got to deal with it again so soon.

I have exclusively breastfed my son since birth. I got my period back at 4 months. I hadn't even tried him on solids either. Ugh, I was hoping it wouldn't come back so soon!
