Did you hear a heart beat at exactly 6 weeks?

Question

I went today and my hcg levels are going up but they didn't hear a  heartbeat. Said to come back in a week and we will do another ultrasound. How common is this?

We heard a heartbeat at 5 weeks 6 days. Admittedly I did panic as it was only 98 BPM, however, per our OB if detectable this early, a heart rate of 90 - 110 is normal. You will feel a tremendous sense of relief once you heart it!!  Fingers crossed for you!

They said they didn't see one either but to come back next week. So I'm hoping I see or hear something next week!

I saw the heart beat at 6 weeks 3 days , it was 109 she wasent positive of the # of bpm thouu

I saw and heard a nice strong hb of 153 at 6+5.

I didn't hear the HB, but we saw it on the ultrasound.  The Dr. told me beforehand not to worry if we didn't see it though because it's still early and sometimes the fetal pole needs longer to grow and develop.  You should see it by next week!

I heard it first at 5w6d but it was only 89! Tech said it had Prob just started beating. At 8 weeks it was 171.
