When girls ask “stupid questions”

I see a lot of posts on here that some would think of as stupid questions. Like “can I get pregnant by oral?” “How do I use a condom?” Etc.

I’ll admit that I used to give an occasional eye roll to questions like this, passing it by, thinking it was just a girl too young to be having sex. Probably like a lot of you all do. I would also see horrible comments full of ridicule.

But now my outlook has changed and I feel like I need to share this.

I read a book over the weekend from the viewpoint of a 12 year old girl who had been molested by her stepfather since the age of 5. When his abuse progressed to oral sex she was terrified and searched the internet to make sure she couldn’t get pregnant.

At 12, most of our bodies are changing. It happening younger and younger these days and girls don’t feel comfortable with their parents asking questions or maybe they can’t - like in the book.

Before you post a hateful comment - think. It might be a girl too young to be having sex, or it could be a lost girl somewhere, terrified and being abused.
