Technically, since ovulation is a guesstimate if you're not religiously tracking it, you should assume you can get pregnant at any point in your cycle. 
If you are tracking it, the best time is between a few days after you know for a fact you ovulated (since the egg only lasts 12-24 hours once released) and when your period is about to end. That being said, some people do ovulate twice in one month, so there's no guarantees
