Wrongful Termination
Hey Ladies, Good Morning!
I’m here just for a few questions for work but not for me, for my boyfriend. So he got hired at Amazon in early November if I’m not mistaken for a holiday seasonal job. He was literally just terminated yesterday but his last day was last week but when they told him he was terminated they told him that they were converting him to a permanent position and even went far enough to discuss weather or not if he wanted to change is schedule or keep it the and he chose to keep it the same. So when she was talking to him about that she said that they would call him and give him his new schedule and that it would take a few days for all of his info to convert over to his new badge i guess for like the one he uses to punch it. So they finally called last night and told him that he was just terminated and that’s it. But when he worked would have issues but mainly on their part for unprofessionalism. Like he was terminated before but wrongfully terminate because i made him call back and complain so he was rehired again. But he was terminated before because their system was messing up to the point where when he punched in and work and managers and employees saw him work but he was told that he was terminated for missing a whole week and even told him the date and that the system said he hadn’t punched in but he did but he worked that whole week and had proof because he was taking a lyft (in America in Cleveland Ohio is a taxi service) and they gave him receipts. So they realized they were wrong and rehired him but i took some says. But always system errors and now this so i just want to know if they can just fire him like that like they lady at his job told him he was terminated on his last day of working before his shift ended (but he didn’t know it was his last day because no one told him) but that he would be converted even put where he kept his schedule the same then have another person call him a week later just telling him her was terminated and thats it. He had no warning like a real week noice that he only had two weeks left like how employees are supposed to give a two weeks notice to their jobs before quitting or anything and then was told one thing by one person and another thing by another person. I mean to me that’s false advertisement and wrongful Termination even though it’s a holiday season job there’s still supposed to be a notice right? Can he demand answers? And isn’t that wrongful Termination? And can’t he go back up there and demand to see his contract and or info he signed when he was hired? What’s you ladies thoughts on this? I really need help because of his driven record it takes him a while to get a job and he finally got this on and then this happens so now this i just a major set back! Please help and if you know where we can talk to a lawyer that would be great as well!
