Lil baby

At my 20 week scan the U/S tech noticed that one of my baby’s kidneys was dilated, so I had to go to a fetal diagnostic center to have a level 2 ultrasound done. When doing that ultrasound, they did find some fluid in the baby’s kidney, AND they also found what they think is fluid in his rectum. Completely a surprise. We were expecting to go and them tell us everything was fine with the kidney(since when the doctor called to tell us about it she said it’s usually nothing, and it resolves itself before birth) but now we have more questions than answers! At the fetal diagnostic center, we spoke with a genetics specialist and she said there is a chance that the baby could have Down syndrome, and that i should maybe consider an amniocentesis if my SO and i think the information will be helpful. I’m so worried & I just want my baby to be okay 😔 we left that day with no reassurance at all since they don’t know what exactly is going on. We go back next Monday and I’m hoping for more positive feedback.
