Age and conceiving

So I am 21 and my SO is 23. We have been TTC for 16 months now. I have seen sooo many young people around our age having the same problems not being able to conceive. I know if you are in your 20s and it takes longer than 12 months to conceive then you should go get checked out. But I guess I'm just worried that something is actually wrong with one of us and I don't want to face those facts just yet. He's very positive and believes we are okay it's just not our time yet. Do any of y'all have any advice ? Or have the same thing going on?? I just meed positive reinforcement. Thanks xx ❤️
