Been spotting for a week after withdrawal bleeding 🙄🙄🙄

I switched from Sprintec 28 to Pirmella 1/35. My doctor said she was going to switch me to a higher dose of estrogen, but both pills have the same dose of estrogen. Pirmella has a higher dose of progestin. I just realized this and I’ll be calling the office to ask about it.

My withdrawal bleeding started on December 30th and I started Pirmella on the 31st (Sunday). After the usual week I have of withdrawal bleeding, I kept spotting. I’m still spotting now and it’s been about the same amount this whole time. I know that some women wind up spotting for a while when they start a new type of birth control, but I hate this.

Has anyone else experienced this? How long did you spot for? I will be calling my doctor’s office today to talk about this to see if she made a mistake with my prescription and ask what I can do about the spotting, but I’d like to hear some other experiences.
