Earliest the test can detect??

Question

What’s the earliest a blood test at my obgyn can detect pregnancy? It’s still early but I have missed my period (if I am, it would have been on New Years Bc that’s when I had birth control complications) but I don’t want to go in too early and get a wrong result.

If you already missed your period, it will come up on a blood test. 
But you could also be late due to tour birth control, stress and other things.
Why don't you go get a test from the store first.
