Anybody have any positive c-section stories?!?

I am having my first c-section with my second baby due to a severe tear with my first baby. I am looking for positive stories from people that have had c-sections!! ❤️

I had a scheduled c section because my first baby was breech, and we couldn’t get her to turn. I can’t say enough amazing things about it! My story seems  VERY different from those who had to labor for hours and then get a csection. I can’t imagine how hard that is on your body. However, having a scheduled csection was a very calm experience for me. My recovery was much better than i expected (again, I’m sure because i didn’t have to labor for hours before!).

I had a scheduled c-section and loved it! I fully plan on another one this time. I was up walking about 4 hours after surgery, and I think that really helped. on the second day I was asked for id to get back to my room because they said I didn't have the new mom shuffle. my doc didn't allow solids until I passed gas (a super hungry and frustrating 10 hours), and I think that really helped speed recovery up as well.
my husband took baby whole I was being stitched up, and that was hard. as soon as I got to recovery they were waiting for me, which was great. my milk came in fine, and at first I found breastfeeding hard, but after a few days we both got the hang of it.

We had a C-section the day after we found baby was breech at 41 weeks. Honestly, I cried and freaked out because I wasn't ready for a c section. We had a great team who did the surgery and I was not scared or nervous. Afterwards, I healed up pretty well with no complications. I'm actually scared to try for a VBAC now because the c section went so smoothly. Just make sure you have some help at home the first week or so because you will be sore. And stay on top of the pain meds!

I had one after labor with my first didn’t go as planned and will be having on this time due to a complication. While mine wasn’t what I consider “positive” it really wasn’t bad either. Talk to your doctor about staples vs stitched. I had stitches and heard they are easier to recover from than staples. Stay up on your meds and get a stomach wrap brace thing. (Your doctor can prescribe it or you can order one off of Amazon even. It was very helpful when I started getting up and moving around more. Take it easy, but also get up and walk as often as you can. I saw huge improvements after I started walking more.

I had a c-section with my first have 36+hours of trying to have her the natural way. I’ll be having a planned csection this time around. It wasn’t my preferred way the first time, but I honestly had a great experience. It’s a weird concept just lying there in the OR but I felt no pressure or pain and my baby girl came quickly and safely! My husband took her out of the room while I got stitches, but we were doing skin-to-skin and breastfeeding shortly after that! The recovery was rough for me in the sense that I’d never had surgery before. But I was up and walking the next day for short bursts. Biggest tip is to move as often as you can when you feel ready and don’t push it (moving does help you heal though!). Also, do not be late on your pain medicine - I remember a week postpartum I thought I could stretch time in between my doses and seriously regretted it! Otherwise everything went well- my scar is tiny and super faint and nothing anyone would ever see even in a bikini. It’s a different ride but you’ll be fine! Best of luck!!
