Contraceptives

Can anyone help me, I'm looking to get some sort of contraceptive for the first time but I'm unsure what would be best, I think the implant would be as I'm really forgetful and would never remember to take a tablet, but I'm worried it could make my periods really bad, can anyone give me advice?
