How long after birth did you wait until family visited?

I am pregnant with my third. (Our first did not make it- our second is almost 2).

When my second was born (6 weeks early) my mil rushed to see the baby the day after he was born (flying in from out of state) and then again when we brought him home. She doesn't help- aside from occasionally bringing in dinner. She is VERY pushy and doesn't respect my rules (like- when the baby is sleeping, don't pick him up). She starts fights between me and my husband and I am DREADING her coming out after baby #3...

For baby #3 what is an appropriate time to wait until saying ok to family coming out? 
At this point- I'm ready to say she can come out when the baby has an established sleep schedule. Or maybe to help them off to college. Lol

My first everyone was in the waiting room. I didn't want my MIL in the room with us, but it ended up she was in there, but she called my mom who lives out of state and so she was able to "be there in a sense" as well which I appreciated. And my SIL was there too.

Second delivery was just me, my hubby, and SIL who is a photographer. After I delivered we called the in-laws who came up with my then 2.5 year old. She came in first so it was just us 3 for 10 min or so and then in laws came.

This time around we will do the same thing as last. I would like more time with just my immediate family before my in laws come in. This is going to be our last and I want to soak in that time with my hubby and 3 kiddos

My family arrived before we'd even called them for our first. They were standing in the foyer of the hospital as I was being wheeled out of delivery...  Second baby: we called after I was out if recovery, so bubs was about 2hrs old and then this time I expect the same. I'm lucky though as get on with my mother in law and everyone is just so excited for a little baby. Hopefully you can work out a time that's agreeable to everyone. Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy x

If she doesn't respect your rules you should send her packing 😜. With my last one who came a week before Christmas, I just held him the whole time and didn't give anyone a chance, it was mostly because there were to many colds going around
