Low lying placenta. Support belt helpful or not??

I am wearing a support belt but now had an anomaly scan and found i have low lying placenta. No advise was given coz he was only a sonographer. Please advise.

I have a placenta previa so the placenta is covering my cervix I found out at my anatomy scan I have had no bleeding or anything but my doctor put me on pelvic rest I get another scan at 26 weeks to see if it moved up on its own!! I'm a ball of worry now as I'm a nurse and I lift a lot of patients although I have not been put on weight restrictions Im trying to take it easy

Happened to me with my second baby, my cervix ended up moving as baby grew so I never had any issues with it. They did say no sex though because I kept spotting. That was sad... lol

The support belt is more for your ligaments and your muscles. While it couldn't hurt to wear it when you need the extra support I don't think it is much help for a low lying placenta. However this is better question for your doctor. Go ahead and give the office a call.
