Why do I get diarrhea when I have my period?

Does anybody know why I get diarrhea when I’m about to start my period! It’s been a burning question of mine since forever! Thank you ladies!😘

The hormones that cause your periods to start also affect the water absorption in your large intestine - less water absorption means watery poops. It’s gross and horrible but we all get it so don’t worry about it! Xx

Probably because cramps, bloated stomach, exhaustion, and 5 days straight of blood isn’t enough 🙄 Haha it’s not uncommon! Period poops are real and they are terrible. My best guess is because the cramps irritate everything down south.
