Ladies that had the 20 week anatomy scan!? UPDATE

Did your Doctor do a vaginal exam after the ultrasound? I had one done for my 8 week appointment. It’s just tmrw it’s going to be below freezing. I really don’t want to shower in the morning and then go out with wet hair. Already have a ear ache 😖 Please let me know!
Update: Alright so I had Regular Ultrasound and a Vaginal Ultrasound 😣 My placenta is right next to my cervix so we will be keeping a watch on it. Everything else is measuring right on track! Thank you for your responses!!

I had both done at my 18 week scan but just to measure my cervix better since my son was a premie 💙

No, they shouldn’t be doing any more vaginal exams until you reach around 36-38wks

Nope! But I did have an ultrasound at 15 weeks because I had placenta previa, and she went vaginal the last 5 mins because baby was sitting funny and it was easier to get a heart rate and measurements, so I guess there is a chance?
But I honestly doubt it! They never have at 20 weeks for any of my pregnancies!

I didn't get an exam after my anatomy scan, they just asked for a urine sample per usual and sent me on my way

I am having my 20 week scan tomorrow and it will be 7th ultrasound. I’m expected both to be done due to some monitoring of a subchorionic hematoma that we found at 10 weeks.

No, but my OBGYN office does both a regular ultrasound and a vaginal ultrasound for the 20 week Anatomy Scan. :)
