High level of HCG

I am currently approaching 9 weeks. My family doctor told me yesterday my blood work came back and my hcg levels were higher than normal for 8-9 weeks. (I forgot the number that he told me now). Of course I started googling and now im concerned I may be having a molar pregnancy. However I dont have any of the symptoms at all.

He said he will not be referring me to any ultrasound at this time because I do not have any other pain or bleeding and etc. My first OB appt isnt till Jan 31 and he told me that I can see if my OB will do an ultrasound at that time due to higher level of hcg.

Just a little bit scared :( has anyone gone through this?
