Freaking out about makena shots
My first son was born 4 years ago at 29 weeks gestation. Doctors and I have no idea why. I'm pregnant again and my doctor recommended makena shots to prevent preterm labor from happening again. I had asked on another pregnancy platform for other women's experience with makena and they were all positive, except for a few complaining about pain and swelling at the injection site.
I've just had my first shot today and I wanted to ease my mind but I'm now reading that in a clinical study of makena, 11 out of 514 pregnant women ended up having a miscarriage or still birth.
Has anyone here had any experience with makena? I really need to know if I'm doing the right thing and that my baby will be ok.
Thanks in advance and please don't judge me for panicking.
