Late period...

I’m on birth control, my boyfriend and I had sex the 28 of December. My period was supposed to start yesterday (January 16) and it hasn’t. We had sex this past Sunday.. Could I be worrying myself into a late period? It is the birth control affecting it? Sos asking for a friend/dr/anyone
