can antibiotics affect my iud effectiveness?? can I get pregnant ?

I was on the Mirena for 5 years and asked this question multiple times to my Gyno! 😂 Since an IUD is used as like a “block” keeping the swimmers from getting to your eggs, an antibiotic shouldn’t effect your effectiveness! I always used a condom just to keep my mind at ease though ☺️
