Any massage therapists?

I had a massage today and she told me to not let my fiancé massage my legs. All of the research I've done says it is fine and it helps me relax. I know he should avoid the ankles but should he not massage my legs?

I am a certified prenatal massage therapist, and it is fine if he massages your legs. Just make sure he avoids your ankles. :)

If your legs are swollen or you have edema, especially pitted,  he shouldn't massage them.

The only thing I can think she would be referring to would be rubbing against the blood flow & risk of blood clots being released etc... But that's unlikely

There are specific spots on your feet near your ankles that should not be massaged that supposedly cause preterm labor. My acupuncturist also told me this. This is why spas have prenatal/ pregnancy massages? They know what areas to be careful with. Better to be safe.
