Any Success on taking the bottle away??

She’s good with sippy and straw cups but I’m trying to have her go to sleep with out the bottle on her full night and nap sleep and use a regular sippy cup. Any suggestions on how you managed to remove the bottle all the way?

We're in the same boat.  Every time I try to give him a sippy instead of a bottle at night he acts like I've betrayed him.

She used to take 4 bottles of formula a day. So when she turned 1 we cut down to 2 of milk but one of them was a sippy cup. We upped her food amount per meal and added more snacks. The sippy cup she was taking on the morning which was easy because she’s hungry after sleeping for so long. We have a bottle at night for a few more weeks and then switched over to a sippy cup. The first few days she didn’t finish the night one but I wasn’t worried since she eats plenty and gets calcium from yogurt, cheese and her foods. After she started drinking all of it. If she eats a lot, she drinks half. When she goes down for a nap, I give her water in her sippy cup. For milk she drinks from a 360 cup and for water, out of a straw.

i started by switching one bottle a day to a sippy, then 2. i just finally cut his night time bottle.  he hasnt beem drinking quite as much milk because he is really holding out for that bottle, but i make sure he gets lots of yogurt and cheese to make up the milk hes missing.

My daughters pediatrician told us she can have her bottle at night but only put water in it and to only give her milk in a cup when she eats meals.

We took it away cold turkey and dealt with like 4 days of tantrums and it was over.
