Anyone tried for a girl? How long did it take you?

Please tell me what you have tried and the length it took. Than the final result even if it ended up being a boy. Thanks in advance!

There is no possible way to ‘try’ for a girl

Our first is a girl. We weren’t “trying” for a girl.... we were just trying for a baby. 
We had sex every other day once my period ended. I had 2 days of positive opks and had sex those 2 days. After my surge was over we took a few days off. It’s a 50/50 chance. If you try for a girl, it might take you longer to conceive as you are stopping sex a few days before ovulation.
